Consent & Chaperone Policy

We will not begin any form of assessment or treatment without your consent. This may be given verbally, and for vaginal examinations written consent will also be required. We will make every effort to ensure you fully understand what your assessment and treatment will entail and the associated benefits and risks. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time by informing your physiotherapist.

As a home-based clinic with an independent physiotherapist we are unable to offer you a chaperone for vaginal examinations. We are unable to allow friends or family members to act as a chaperone during vaginal examinations, however they are welcome to attend your appointment with you as a visitor. Unfortunately, we will be unable to proceed with a vaginal examination if you want a chaperone present.

Deposit & Cancellation Policy

We kindly request a £20 deposit be paid to secure all bookings. This will be requested on agreement of an appointment time and is payable within 48 hours of request via bank transfer. The deposit amount will be deducted from the appointment cost on the day of your appointment. We aim to keep our deposit charge to a minimum to cover administrative and business costs only in the event of late cancellation or non-attendance.

Your deposit is fully transferrable if you need to change your appointment date or time with at least 48 hours notice. This allows us sufficient time to offer your appointment to other patients waiting for care. Late appointment changes and/or cancellations made within 48 hours of your appointment time will be subject to loss of deposit and a new deposit will be requested on rebooking. The deposit is non-refundable if you choose to cancel your appointment without rebooking or if you fail to attend your appointment.

Patients who fail to attend or provide late cancellation of two or more appointments will be denied rebooking. We recognise last-minute cancellations are unavoidable in some cases due to reasons out of your control such as illness, transportation issues and family circumstances. This will be considered when rebooking is requested, however we are unable to offer a refund of your deposit.

Late Attendance Policy

If you arrive late for your appointment, we will endeavour to complete the full appointment in the remaining time. Please be advised that lateness of more than 15 minutes will likely impact on being able to deliver the full service and will still be charged at the full appointment fee.
